On the occasion of the mid-term meeting of the Fitwork project "Good practices for the development of physical activity programs at work", the second of the four conferences planned throughout the project was held on 9th of June, rrganized by the University of Coimbra (UC) in the Auditorium of the Museum of Science.
Physical activity and sports professionals, health and safety professionals, and students attended the event.
The conference allowed the presentation of the FITWORK Project to the attendees, with the innovative aspects of it and the contents that will contain the guide of good practices, as a result of the project and that will be published at the end of the project (June 2018).
Throughout the day, the European network ENWHP transferred the important role of promoting health at work, IBV showed the procedures and methodologies for the identification / evaluation of ergonomic risks and their effect on the development of musculoskeletal disorders.
The University of Coimbra (UC) presented the way to implement physical activity programs in companies, and the Technische Universitate Eindhoven (TU / e) introduced the self-monitoring technologies (quantified self) as a way to Self-improvement.
