On July 13th, EASY-IMP consortium celebrated in Paal (Belgium) the final meeting of the collaborative project funded by the European Commission.
With few weeks left before the end oh the Project, the final meeting of EASY-IMP consortium was held in Paal (Belgium), where representatives of all the entities participated, together with representatives of the European Commission, the Project Officer Mr. Erastos Filos, and Project Technical Advisor Mr. Koorosh Khodabandehloo.
EASY-IMP has develop new methodologies, tools and ready-to-use components for designing and producing intelligent wearables as Meta-Products. It proposes a cloud computing enabled framework for the Collaborative Design and Development of Personalised Products and Services, combining embedded sensors (Internet of things paradigm) and mobile devices with facilities for joint open development of downloadable applications and services.
More specifically EASY has focused on the following pilot applications:
• cardiac rehabilitation
• rehabilitation and developmental games
• personal training: squat
• personal training: running
IBV has participated providing his expertise in biomechanics and in static and dynamic anthropometry, and contributed significantly to the development of pilots as leader of the work package dedicated to them.
Juan V. Durá, IBV project manager, has been responsible for presenting the pilots to the EC.
The European Commission has pointed out that finally the project has met its objectives, bringing research to market with developments that will improve the quality of life of today's society, helping in rehabilitation of recovering patients and increasing lifespan of recovered ones.
This project has received funding from the European Union's Seventh Framework Programme for research, technological development and demonstration under grant agreement No 609078.
